The Photo Set includes pictures of Calvary Chapel High School students boarding Bill Hattric’s “Overland Trail” Private Car at the Fullerton Santa Fe Depot and heading to their Winter Formal in San Diego. The “Overland Trail” used to be a Barber Shop Lounge Car that is now available for private charter. The car was placed at the end of a southbound Amtrak San Diegan consist. Thanks goes to Joseph Henchman and Steve Donaldson (co-author of Rails Through the Orange Groves : A Centennial Look at the Railroads of Orange County, California with William A. Myers) for identifying the event and the private rail car for us.

Also shown are photos from the interior of the TrainWeb office upstairs in the Fullerton Santa Fe Depot, including our new Westec Alarm System Panel.

[note: TrainWeb has since moved.] TrainWeb is located directly above the Amtrak Ticket Office in the Fullerton Santa Fe Depot right next door to The Old Spaghetti Factory Restaurant. We will open our doors by 10:00 AM on the day of the meeting and welcome you to visit our facilities between 10 AM and 11 AM right before the meeting. You are also welcome to visit our office after the close of the meeting.

From the TrainWeb office you will be able to see the TrainWeb WebCams in operation as well as enjoy a unique view of the platform, rails and trains. There are also a number of railroad graphics, artifacts and Amtrak souveniers on display. The Fullerton Railway Plaza Association shares space with us and you will be able to observe their plans for the building of a railroad museum right next to the station in Fullerton. By the time of this meeting, you should be able to examine the progress of the installation of the initial two sidings for the Fullerton Railway Plaza!
